[for Book]
Mar. 11th, 2008 11:25 pmJack had one rifle slung over his shoulder, the other he carried. THere were new animals in the jungle, and although he was a good shot, it was better to have more ammo than you needed.
He'd left Ianto's when the sun came up and stopped at the hut to tell House that he'd be gone for a bit. That Daniel was missing and he was going to retrieve him. What he didn't say was just how much he just needed to go. It was just how he functioned. Run away, do something he knew he could fix. He assured House that he'd be back as soon as possible.
What he hadn't counted on was coming across a man in the jungle, looking serene and, well...Jack had no clue why he was here or what he was doing. He'd seen his face around, but hadn't met him before, so he flashed a casual smile and nodded.
"Hi. Captain Jack Harkness," he said, shifting the one rifle so he could hoist the strap of the other higher on his shoulder.
