[for greg]
Apr. 15th, 2007 06:56 pmNights were bad because of the nightmares--his and Ace's both. He'd started taking naps in the late afternoon when the heat of the day was the worst and that was always when he got some real sleep.
Jack had dreamed, really dreamed, for the first time in a while. Not nightmares. Not anxiety masquerading as some formless hunter tracking him down. No, Jack awoke from a dream so vivid, so real that he could almost still taste Greg in his mouth and smell him on his skin. He slipped out of bed and pulled on his jeans and a tank style undershirt and walked straight to the Compound. He looked in the clinic, then exited and went directly to the treehouse. The nice thing about Greg was he was an easy man to find.
He opened the door and looked around, then crossed to Greg's door. He didn't bother to knock, just pushed his way in. He honestly didn't even care if Greg was alone.
