You Should Know Jack

For those unfamiliar with Jack, as he appeared in Season 1 of Doctor Who, this is a fast overview of what to expect.

• Jack will flirt with you. He does it without thinking. It's just how he is.


• Jack is tactile. He will likely touch you.


• Jack is observant. If he's making you uncomfortable, he will pull it back. He won't stop, though. Not because he doesn't want to, but because he almost physically can't.


• Jack can and will make you feel like the only person in the entire universe if you let him. He listens. He will devote his attention to you and you alone. (Until he's distracted by something else).


• Jack will flirt with you. It bears repeating. Jack will flirt with anyone and everyone. It generally has very little to do with sex, although it's not as if Jack will say no to going to bed with someone. Jack's charm and easy-going nature often comes across as flirting and he will do it to literally everyone. Women. Men. Pets. Children. Any age. Any species. Any color. Any size. Anyone.


• Jack will care about you. He will not fall in love with you. Falling in love with Jack Harkness is possibly the stupidest thing a person could do (in his opinion).


• Jack likes sex. Jack also likes not getting hit by irate partners. If he knows you're in a relationship, he won't...unless it's an open relationship. Or a threesome. Whatever...he will make it crystal clear it's casual and doesn't mean anything more than what it is. Casual.


• Jack will respect boundaries. Especially ones clearly set and strictly enforced.


• Jack goes for the easiest path.


• Jack is extremely flexible and adapts well with hardly a moment's notice.


• Jack is extremely social. He likes to meet people. He loves to talk, tell stories, have a good time. Above all, he loves to dance...in every conceivable definition of dancing.


• Jack is not all that old. As close as he can guess, he's about 31.


• Jack is NOT from Torchwood, although he's seen all of the Season 1 reels.


• Jack is not immortal--or never found out he might be thanks to coming to the island from Sat5


• Jack will flirt with you. Jack would flirt with air if he thought it would do any good...because on some planets, it does.
