Jack didn't need to pay for it. But there was just something about a professional. There was a certain freedom to be greedy.
He was getting nowhere with Logan. Or maybe he was. Usually he could tell but the chief was...different. He'd put his interest on the back burner and had gotten on with life, determined to at least be the man's friend. Jack hadn't had a friend in...well. He wasn't going to think about that.
He'd made the arrangements in the bar with the hot guy and scheduled a holodeck suite. He wasn't going to bring anyone back to Logan's quarters. That seemed rude.
Jack was waiting inside in a comfortable room decorated with dark woods and rich wallpaper. The bed was plush and the focal point of the room, but Jack was sitting in front of a hearth with a merry little fire.
He looked up when the door opened.
"Fin," he said. "Thank you for coming."
