On the fourth day, Jack returned. He was hungry and tired and he'd finally had time to think. Now it was time to come back and face up to everything he'd done.

And undone.

He sauntered into the Compound as if he'd never been gone, took a shower and changed his clothes, the headed for the treehouse. He paused long enough to notice how the sky lightened as the sun rose. It was a new day and maybe things would work out. He had come to terms with his lies and his fears. What he wanted. What a child he'd been.

He opened the door and noticed Ianto wasn't on the sofa, but didn't dwell on it long. He went directly to Greg's room, closing the door behind him.

"I was a little busy," he grinned. "Hiking and setting up camp and...oh," he said, smiling even wider and looking back toward the door where he'd left his bag. "I brought something back with me."

"Oh?" House asked with a lifted eyebrow, just before smirking and sliding his hands a little higher. "Four days, huh?"

"You think I haven't got any control at all?" he smirked. "Want your present or not?"

"Okay, what is it," House said, looking vaguely amused. He held up his hands, showing Jack that he was free to go.

He smiled and kissed him quick, then scrambled off only to return with his bag. "Here. Don't smoke it all at once," he grinned.

House peeked inside and grinned. "Oh, baby, you know the way to my heart. This actually looks slightly better than the shit that grows behind the compound..."

"It's from the other side of the mountain. Northeast slope. It'll do the job," he grinned, climbing back into bed.
