Jack had plans to go work on the TARDIS, but nothing was going to happen before he got some coffee and maybe a papaya. He turned up his nose at the cheese, but took some of the bread and sat down to enjoy his light meal. It would keep him going until he was ready to scream at the damnable broken time ship.

"Jack!" House walked into the kitchen for the second time that morning, and wasted no time in leaning down and kissing him thoroughly. "Good morning, baby. Did you have some cheese? It's delicious."

He blinked, but kissed him back. It was always weird when House was enthusiastic...and he didn't taste like pot.

"I didn't. Not my thing. Want some of my papaya?" he offered, fingers brushing through Greg's hair.

"If you like it, it must be awesome," said House. He picked a piece off of Jack's place and popped it into his mouth. "Mmmmm," he said, then put another in his mouth and kissed Jack again, transferring the papaya to his mouth with his tongue.

He took it and swallowed, pulling away. "How you feeling, Greg?" he asked, looking him over. Enthusiastic was one thing. Kissing him like that in the kitchen?...Not Like Greg.

House pulled away and rolled his eyes. "How do I look? What, just because I love you, I must be sick?"

He smirked a little. "Remember that time we almost had sex right here in the kitchen?"

"Yeah, that was sexy...but the bathroom was good too. Hey, you remember that time I was hurt and you held my hand?" he asked, flirting a little. Something was off. Not bad, just off.

House laughed. "Yeah, that was when I was Dr. Greg. Don't worry, baby, I might love you but I'm not feeling like playing paper dolls. And my leg still hurts like a bitch."

Jack took another bite, slurping a little and wiping his mouth. "Wan me to wub it?" he asked before he swallowed, the reply automatic now.

"Nah, it's not any worse than usual." But House smiled, reaching out and grabbing Jack's hand. "You're always trying to help me. What can I do for you, baby?"

"I don't need anything, Greg. Really," he smiled. Weird. Definitely weird.

But sweet.

"Are you sure? I really just want to..." House reached up and brushed hair away from Jack's face. "God I love you. What was my life like without you in it?"

He couldn't help but close his eyes. God, that felt good.

"I love you too. Really want to what?" he asked, pushing the food away.

"I just want... to do something to make you happy. Anything. You name it." He splayed his fingers over the back of Jack's neck and gently massaged the nape.

"Anything?" he smiled, turning to kiss Greg's wrist. He wasn't going to take advantage of him...this had to be some kind of island thing.

But he wasn't going to waste the offer either.

"Anything," House repeated, smiling. Looking a bit lovesick. Doe-eyed, even.

"Sit down and tell me why you love me," Jack asked, siding a chair out for him. "And don't talk about feeling young or anything about sex."

House beamed. That he could do.

"Because you don't bullshit anyone," House said. "Because the first time I met you you called me on my shitty attitude. Because you were so fucking strong after he hurt you. Because you trusted me... even from the beginning, with things that I know were really important. Because you don't care that I'm a cripple but you don't pretend it's not there either. Because I can see in your eyes that you've experienced more of the world than I could even dream of. Because there's a puzzle inside you. Because you love me for who I am and you don't want to fix me. Because... god, baby, I could go on and on, and none of that even has to do with how beautiful you are."

Jack wasn't sure what he'd expected, but it wasn't that. "...I...oh."

House's face fell. "Was that not the right thing to say?"

"I just didn't realize that that's what you felt. I...wow."

It was clearly the right thing to say...he was blushing darker than he ever had.

House's mouth curled into a slow smile. "Well I've been telling you I love you for months now! You thought I was just making it up? God you're cute when you blush."

That just made him duck his head. "...notsupposedtoblush," he muttered. It took him a minute before he could look up. "I love you. I...shit," he said, leaning in to kiss him again.

House sighed happily into the kiss and wrapped his arms tightly around Jack. He was pleased that he'd been able to say something to make Jack so happy.

It didn't take long before the sweet kiss he'd intended turned hungry and he clutched at Greg's shirt. "Love you so much, Greg," he gasped, ignoring the people who were coming and going through the kitchen, just looking at them like it was the sweetest thing they'd ever seen.

"I love you too, baby," House assured him, smiling into Jack's mouth. "Do you want to make love? God I'd love to make you so happy..."
