Jack had made his way back, gasping and falling, wishing he could scream every time he moved his arm. With Faramir gone, he'd taken the opportunity to get out of the restraints. He'd tried a few times, but by the time the pain in his shoulders seemed worth a little more, he strained and pulled until he felt his shoulder pull out of the socket. It hurt, fuck, it hurt...but it was just one more pain to go with the rest of the abuse. He'd undone the bindings around his ankles, then pulled out his gag and gotten his hands free.

He stumbled through the darkness, his right arm against the wall. Following the wall will get you out. He was so far beyond delirious that Rose may as well have been walking right behind him. He stumbled a few times, no sound escaping as he hit his knees and tore the scabs open again and again. By the time he reached the entrance and saw the jungle, he oriented himself.

Then he ran.

Rose followed along, need a doctor, Jack. Get to the clinic. I'll keep you alive, but you need help. Don't panic. He ran with her words driving him on, but by the time he reached the compound he was exhausted. He couldn't breathe, his arm throbbed in a dull mockery of his heartbeat, and his knees gave out at the doorway to the rec room. At least he was close. He was here. Someone would come along to help.

Chase was working on undressing Jack, tugging the curtain shut for some semblance of privacy and he noticed the cut in the denim, glancing up at Jack, the worry all contained in his eyes.

He looked up at Jack and gave him a reassuring smile. "Looks like no internal bleeding," he offered quietly, glancing around. "Jack, were you raped?" he asked quietly, glancing down to his jeans, all torn up.

He closed his eyes and shook his head in response, but looked away. If he thought about it like that he'd crack. He did what he had to to. He baited, he provoked, and he did everything just right. He did what he had to.

He shook his head again, then looked up at Rob, pleading with his eyes only that he believe him.

Chase just caught Jack's gaze, holding it for a very long while and nodding, a silent okay. He took a deep breath, exhaling shakily, wondering when to tell the Doctor about this. Not yet. He glanced over to House and nodded. "House, can you help me set his shoulder back in place?"

"Of course." House walked around to behind Jack. He looked down at him and offered gently, "This might hurt a little bit."

Jack looked back at him, completely incredulous of Doctor Understatement. If course it was going to hurt. He knew it would hurt a lot, actually.

He took a deep breath and nodded as he closed his eyes. The gristly grind and pop came with and explosion of pain that stopped almost as soon as the shoulder was back in place.

...And he was silent through the whole process.

Jaime watched all of this quietly, wincing in sympathy when the doctors twisted and popped the shoulder back into place. He leaned forward in his chair, mostly keeping an eye on Jack although occasionally he looked around the room noting what was available in terms of food or drink.

There was only pitcher on one of the tables closer to the hallway. He supposed that would be important though since there was no way of telling when Jack had had a proper meal let alone any water.

Chase eased back to grab a makeshift splint to tie up Jack's arm and keep him secure so the heal would be clean. He glanced back to House. "I can get it from here," he said, not thinking Jack would want House's particular brand of life is great feeling at the moment.

"If you think that's best..."

House paused.

"Are you sure he doesn't need someone to hold his hand?"

Jack reached out and caught House's hand just as he offered, listing away from the pain and closing his eyes. It was better, it really was...he was just so tired and thirsty. He fought to stay awake and looked at Rose sitting there watching the doctors working on him and he smiled weakly. No, not Rose. Jaime. Rose was gone.

Jaime moved his chair closer to the bed before going over to other table. He filled a glass with water since he couldn't carry both the pitcher and the glass over.

After setting the water down close to Jack and sitting back down, the Kingslayer did his best to smile reassuringly. He wanted whoever had done this to suffer but saying so would not be helpful at all. He suspected Jack would not have wanted to talk about it even if he could have.

Chase just took his time cleaning up Jack so as not to cause any further pain, assessing his injuries and writing them down on Jack's chart, sighing as he brushed his brow. Whoever did this was severely fucked up in the head.

House let Jack squeeze his hand as hard as he wanted and didn't so much as flinch. Occasionally he would reach down and brush back the other man's hair as Chase continued to work. "Don't worry," he murmured. "You'll be just fine. Rob is the best doctor I know."

So maybe he was nicer in the clinic than on the beach, or maybe he'd gone insane as well. Whatever it was, Jack leaned on House and waited for Rob to be done with his notes. He wished he could talk, could tell him about his throat. Wished, more than anything, he could ask if anyone had been hurt.
