Jack had gone to check in on Ace, see if she was ready to join him or if she wanted a few more days to heal. Either way, he wanted to make it clear he hadn't just left her. When he came out of her room, he paused for a second, then walked to Rob's door, knocking lightly. He didn't even know if he'd be in there, but it was worth a shot.

"Rob? It's Jack. Feel free to tell me to go away."

"I'm stronger than I look," Chase confirmed, flexing a bicep and laughing when it was really, really pitiful. "And yeah. Three years of playing says so."

"You almost made a muscle," she teased, doing the same with similar pitiful results. "Guess I won't be carrying anybody around this weekend," she laughed.

"We could try piggybacks, but my ankle's still out of it," Chase said, rubbing it idly, still flinching at the feel of the scar against the pad of her thumb.

"Right now I'd probably just drop you," Jack said, resting her head on Rob's chest. It was soft...nice. And the heartbeat sounded just the same.

Chase just toyed with Jack's hair, smiling a little. "Take a rest," she advised. "We can wake up and freak out again later." Chase tilted her head to one side to gauge that.

"I wish I could, but I have to pee, and I have a feeling it's going to be more of an undertaking than I ever imagined," she said, looking up at Rob. "But I'll get out of your hair. You should sleep some more...because the Doctor? He's going to love this."

Chase gave a laugh at that, peering down at her body. "Somehow, I'll beg to disagree," she remarked dryly. "Go. I'll be here."

Jack smiled and crawled off, kissing her softly just one more time. "I'll see you around, Rob. Thanks for the good night's sleep," she said, pulling on clothes that were far too big for her. Next stop...after figuring out the toilet issue...Ace's room.

Girl clothes might be a nice change.
