Jack lead the way, escorting Logan at an easy pace. The kitchen was hot and crowded and stepping outside the compound into the cool night air was a welcome relief.

"You feeling okay?" he asked, bringing his hand to rest against the small of Logan's back.

"It can't all be massage and Victorian stories," he chuckled, moving down to rub the younger man's thighs instead of his stomach. "I think we're always going to have head injuries and dinosaurs, Logan. But...yeah. I'll take whatever as long as it's with you."

"And accidental gunshots and poison squids?" Logan grinned. "You can't forget those," he smirked.

His body reacted wn Jack's hands moved lower, and for once Logan found himself unwilling to push for more. He needed to sleep off some of his meal before he could even begin to consider sex.

"Come lay down with me," he said, tugging Jack closer.

"But I haven't gotten to your feet yet," he protested, but as always...he couldn't say no. He crawled back up and laid down next to Logan so the younger man could settle into his usual spot.

"You should go to sleep, baby. You sound tired."

"I just need a nap," Logan insisted. "Don't let me sleep all evening. Wake me up in an hour or something..."

Settling into place, he moved slowly, one hand caressing Jack's chest before sliding lower to rest on his stomach. "I have a lot to be thankful for- and I want to tell you all about it before today's over."

"Okay. I'll wake you up," he promised, then curled his arm up to toy with Logan's hair until the younger man drifted off. Jack wasn't tired, but he laid still, listening to the slow, steady breathing of the man beside him.

So many things to be thankful for. Jack never really thought about things like that, but looking back over the last year he had to admit that there were things he was pretty damned grateful for. There had been some awful things, beginning with Tosh disappearing and ending with Logan's recent injury, but in between...there was a lot he had really lucked out on.

"Logan," he said after more than an hour. "Logan, you wanted me to get you up. Wake up," Jack purred softly, trying to rouse the other man slowly.

Groaning, Logan hid his face against Jack's chest, and then stretched a little as he moved and squinted up at the other man.

"I'm up," he insisted, squirming closer and settling back in.

Just because he was awake, didn't mean he had any plans to move.

Jack tightened his hold briefly and smiled down at Logan.

"Sleep well?" he asked. "You looked peaceful. I love watching you sleep."

"Yeah?" Logan asked, slowly lifting himself up and moving to straddle the other man. "I don;t usually get to watch you sleep. I always end up drifting off first and waking up last," he realized.

"I'll have to make it my goal to stay up late enough to see you sleep tonight."

"Mmm, if that's what you want to do," he replied, sliding his hands along Logan's legs and then up his stomach.

"You feeling better? Not so full?"

"Way better. i feel good. I feel- thankful. For you. For this. Or home, our bed, our vows... Mostly you though," Logan said, rubbing from Jack's shoulders down to his chest.

Jack fell silent, just looking at Logan. He knew how the younger man felt, but he wasn't half as good at explaining his feelings. Every time he did he felt like he was just tripping over his tongue. He could flirt and woo people, but that was all lies. The truth was hard for him.

"Me too," he agreed. "Thankful that you're in my life. Still in my life. For a long time I was just waiting for you to leave. And now...every day I'm so thankful that you're with me. That you love me no matter what."

"Always will," Logan assured the other man, stroking his hair and then slowly settling in on the other man's chest. His eyes slipped shut, and he hummed softly as he draped himself over the other man.

"Love you, Jack."

"I love you, too, Logan," he replied, holding on as he savored the weight of the man on him. "No matter what. Remember that, okay? No matter what happens, I love you and always will."

"Nothing's gonna happen," Logan said firmly, holding on tighter and then pressing a kiss to Jack's chest.

The kiss quickly became a bite though, and Logan nipped roughly as he grinned. It was funny how one moment Logan could be so tough and intense, and the next he could be playful- like a pup still learning everything from the alpha dog.

"Ow!" he exclaimed, laughing as he struggled to turn his head and get away from Logan's assault. It was undeniable that it had an effect on him, though. His fingers gripped Logan and held him close and he shifted a little beneath him.

"You little shit. I take it back," he lied, unable to keep from chuckling. For all that he struggled, his goal wasn't to get away. Not a bit.

"You don't take it back," Logan grinned, nipping again and squirming on top of the other man as he got comfortable again. "You love me. You adore me. Admit it."

"No...I take it back," he said, a little more breathlessly than before. His lie was transparent and he knew it. His adoration was obvious in how he held Logan, how he writhed beneath him, and how he tilted his chin to give the guy better access. Every time teeth grazed skin the sensation rocketed through him.

I...I take it all back. I don't..." he tried, but his eyes slipped closed and he tilted his hips to grind against Logan. It was like he wasn't even trying to make his lies convincing.

"Mmm-fine," Logan replied finally, rolling away and turning his back on Jack with a grin. "Guess I'll pack my things in the morning then. I'll move back in with Joe and you can return to your wild bachelor lifestyle."

Jack rolled against him and pressed his chest to Logan's back, draping an arm around him.

"My wild bachelor lifestyle, huh?" he asked, pressing a kiss to Logan's neck. "I don't think I even remember what that was like. Lonely...fake. You'd really do that to me?" He kissed Logan again. "Maybe I don't take it back. I like you here."

Logan smiled at the soft press of lips, and wiggled back slightly as he settled in. "Then I guess I'll stay," he replied, for once not turning it all into a game. He didn't struggle or pull away- instead he slowly turned around in Jack's arms so he could hold the other man in return.

Skin rubbed smoothly against skin, and Logan tilted his head as he ghosted his lips over Jack's, kissing him softly as his hand slid down to cup the other man's ass.

"I could lay like this all day..." he sighed.

"I think I could handle that," he purred, pressing tender kisses against Logan's lips and jaw. His hand came up to cradle the other man's jaw as he savored every touch.

"I love this. You. When it's slow like this. And when it's rough. And when you make me give in. When I make you. I love it all. You're perfect for me. This is never going to be boring."

"No, it's not," Logan agreed, sure in that moment that he would never get bored of this- or anything else they did. Even if tomorrow the island lost all its dinosaurs and every last bit of adventure and excitement, Logan knew they'd have this- and that would be more than enough.

Squeezing Jack's ass gently, he grinned and then smacked him playfully before ducking his head to kiss his neck.

A low purr rumbled through Jack's chest and throat and he canted his ass back, eager for more. He smoothed his hands over every inch of Logan's body.

"Fuck, Logan," he whispered. "You must be feeling better."

"All better," Logan replied, nuzzling Jack's neck. "I feel good- really good. You feel good too," he murmured, his hand rubbing where he'd gently smacked the other man, and then squeezing again.

Jack rolled and twisted, getting Logan on his back and bracing himself over the other man. He ducked his head and sought Logan's neck, kissing him hungrily. No one could wind Jack up so fast or so completely. Logan accused him of having no patience and in many ways he was right. With eager hands and seductive lips, Logan made it impossible for Jack to hold back.
