Jack lead the way, escorting Logan at an easy pace. The kitchen was hot and crowded and stepping outside the compound into the cool night air was a welcome relief.

"You feeling okay?" he asked, bringing his hand to rest against the small of Logan's back.

"I'm fine," Logan said, giving in and moving a little closer as they walked. "I'll feel better after I lay down."

His hand slid from the small of Logan's back to hold on to his waist. There were times he was thankful the path from the compound to Bohemia was so short. This was one of those times.

"Good plan," he agreed. "As long as I can join you. I think I still owe you a back rub...if you want."

"Mmm, that sounds good," Logan said, resting his head on Jack's shoulder and holding on lightly. "I like when you rub my back. You have nice hands. ...You have nice everything."

Walking carefully so as not to jostle him, Jack turned his head and kissed Logan's head lightly.

"Then that's what we'll do. You go in and strip. Get comfortable. I'll take care of the dogs so they won't bother us, and then I'll give you a good rub down before you fall asleep."

"Good plan," Logan smiled, closing his eyes for a moment when Jack kissed him, and then pulling away to head inside.

It didn't take very long to strip down, and he crawled right into bed. It smelled clean and warm, and even though it was warm out, he crawled under the covers and got comfortable.

True to his word, he fed the dogs and messed with them for a bit until they were settled. He fed Dulcita separately and then cleaned up his mess. But the time he walked into the bedroom, he was afraid Logan might be asleep. He stripped off his clothes and kicked away his shoes before climbing into bed. Smoothing his hands down Logan's arm, he smiled.

"I can't believe you ate that much," he said softly, moving to be able to rub Logan's back. "I don't think I've ever seen anyone eat that much all at once."

Logan had eaten a lot, much more hand he usually did anyway, and now he was suffering for it. ...Though at least he'd had the sense to overindulge on good food.

"Didn't eat that much," he protested, though they both knew that was a lie.

"Uh huh," Jack replied, not believing it for a second. He ran his hands over Logan's skin a few times, just feeling him, then he abandoned that the reach for the oil and shift position. Pouring a measure into his palm, he warmed it before starting at Logan's lower back and working up.

"You'll feel better after a nap," he said, working his thumbs over tension and knots. "I'll rub you down, read a little, then you'll be just fine when you wake up. You'll see."

Humming in agreement, Logan melted under Jack's hands, his toes curling slightly as he moaned i nto his pillow.

"You have... good hands. I like when you just touch me. Not even in a dirty way... Just any way."

"Good, because I have a hard time keeping my hands off of you," Jack replied. Slowly moving from tailbone to shoulders, up and down, he smoothed away every ounce of tension.

"And...I love that you let me do this. Touch you. Your back. It was a big deal when you said it was okay. I know you wouldn't let just anyone."

"I don't really let anyone. You. Joe. ...That's kind of it," he said quietly, sighing and trying to remember a time he hadn't wanted Jack's hands on him. ...It seemed like a lifetime ago.

"You ever worry we'll get boring, Jack?" he asked curiously.

"No," he said simply. "I can't imagine anything about us ever being boring. Comfortable, maybe. Never boring. Why? You think we're really going to get dull?"

"Don't all couples?" Logan asked with a yawn rolling over so he could look up at the other man. "Though I guess dull isn't that bad," he admitted, reaching up to stroke Jack's cheek.

"I don't even think I know how to live a dull life. It might not be the thrill a minute of fighting Daleks or bouncing from war to war, but the excitement this place throws at me is...well, it's fine with me if it's not a constant thing," he told Logan, rubbing his chest and then down to his stomach where he touched gently. Logan's belly was so taut it was almost comical.

Logan made a small sound of protest when Jack touched his stomach, clearly still uncomfortable from the large meal.

"I don't think I would care. If we got boring, That would be okay. I think pretty much anything would be okay as long as I had you."

"It can't all be massage and Victorian stories," he chuckled, moving down to rub the younger man's thighs instead of his stomach. "I think we're always going to have head injuries and dinosaurs, Logan. But...yeah. I'll take whatever as long as it's with you."

"And accidental gunshots and poison squids?" Logan grinned. "You can't forget those," he smirked.

His body reacted wn Jack's hands moved lower, and for once Logan found himself unwilling to push for more. He needed to sleep off some of his meal before he could even begin to consider sex.

"Come lay down with me," he said, tugging Jack closer.

"But I haven't gotten to your feet yet," he protested, but as always...he couldn't say no. He crawled back up and laid down next to Logan so the younger man could settle into his usual spot.

"You should go to sleep, baby. You sound tired."

"I just need a nap," Logan insisted. "Don't let me sleep all evening. Wake me up in an hour or something..."

Settling into place, he moved slowly, one hand caressing Jack's chest before sliding lower to rest on his stomach. "I have a lot to be thankful for- and I want to tell you all about it before today's over."

"Okay. I'll wake you up," he promised, then curled his arm up to toy with Logan's hair until the younger man drifted off. Jack wasn't tired, but he laid still, listening to the slow, steady breathing of the man beside him.

So many things to be thankful for. Jack never really thought about things like that, but looking back over the last year he had to admit that there were things he was pretty damned grateful for. There had been some awful things, beginning with Tosh disappearing and ending with Logan's recent injury, but in between...there was a lot he had really lucked out on.

"Logan," he said after more than an hour. "Logan, you wanted me to get you up. Wake up," Jack purred softly, trying to rouse the other man slowly.

Groaning, Logan hid his face against Jack's chest, and then stretched a little as he moved and squinted up at the other man.

"I'm up," he insisted, squirming closer and settling back in.

Just because he was awake, didn't mean he had any plans to move.

Jack tightened his hold briefly and smiled down at Logan.

"Sleep well?" he asked. "You looked peaceful. I love watching you sleep."

"Yeah?" Logan asked, slowly lifting himself up and moving to straddle the other man. "I don;t usually get to watch you sleep. I always end up drifting off first and waking up last," he realized.

"I'll have to make it my goal to stay up late enough to see you sleep tonight."

"Mmm, if that's what you want to do," he replied, sliding his hands along Logan's legs and then up his stomach.

"You feeling better? Not so full?"

"Way better. i feel good. I feel- thankful. For you. For this. Or home, our bed, our vows... Mostly you though," Logan said, rubbing from Jack's shoulders down to his chest.
